Die Vulkanisation ist ein Verfahren, bei dem roher Kautschuk durch Erhitzen mit Schwefel oder Schwefeldichlorid verbessert wird, um seine mechanischen Eigenschaften zu erh\u00f6hen. Metalloxide werden insbesondere bei bestimmten synthetischen Materialien wie Chloropren-Kautschuk bevorzugt.<\/p>\r\n

Bei der Vulkanisation von Chloropren-Kautschuk werden Metalloxide wie MgO, ZnO und manchmal auch PbO eingesetzt. Diese Stoffe beeinflussen w\u00e4hrend des Prozesses die Umgebungstemperatur und unterst\u00fctzen die Vernetzung der Kautschukmolek\u00fcle.
